Performance portability for the CMS Reconstruction with Alpaka / Bocci, Andrea (CERN) ; Czirkos, Angela (CERN) ; Di Pilato, Antonio (CASUS) ; Pantaleo, Felice (CERN) ; Hugo, Gabrielle (CERN) ; Kortelainen, Matti (Fermilab) ; Redjeb, Wahid (CERN ; Aachen, Tech. Hochsch.) /CMS Collaboration
For CMS, Heterogeneous Computing is a powerful tool to face the computational challenges posed by the upgrades of the LHC, and will be used in production at the High Level Trigger during Run 3. In principle, to offload the computational work on non-CPU resources, while retaining their performance, different implementations of the same code are required. [...]

The ATLAS Technical Coordination Expert System is a knowledge-based application which describes and simulates the ATLAS experiment based on its components and their relationships with differing levels of granularity but with an emphasis on general infrastructure. It facilitates the sharing of knowledge and improves the communication among experts with different backgrounds and domains of expertise. [...]

Cosmology with massive black hole binary mergers in the LISA era / Mangiagli, Alberto (APC, Paris) ; Caprini, Chiara (Geneva U. ; CERN) ; Volonteri, Marta (Paris, Inst. Astrophys.) ; Marsat, Sylvain (L2IT, Toulouse) ; Vergani, Susanna (LUTH, Meudon ; GEPI, Meudon ; LERMA, Ivry) ; Tamanini, Nicola (L2IT, Toulouse) ; Speri, Lorenzo (Potsdam, Max Planck Inst.)
In $\sim2034$ the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) will detect the coalescence of massive black hole binaries (MBHBs) from $10^5$ to $10^7 {\, \rm M}_\odot$ up to $z\sim10$. The gravitational wave (GW) signal is expected to be accompanied by a powerful electromagnetic (EM) counterpart, from radio to X-ray, generated by the gas accreting on the binary. If LISA locates the MBHB merger within an error box $<10 \, \rm deg^2$, EM telescopes can be pointed in the same portion of the sky to detect the emission from the last stages of the MBHB orbits or the very onset of the nuclear activity, paving the way to test the nature of gas in a rapidly changing space-time. Measurements of $Z$ boson production in association with heavy flavors at ATLAS / Giacobbe, Benedetto (INFN, Bologna) /ATLAS Collaboration
Standard Model measurements involving the production of 𝑍 and 𝑊 bosons in association with jets is an important part of the ATLAS physics program at the LHC. The measurement of integrated and differential production cross sections constitutes a powerful tool to test our understanding of the Monte Carlo generators and of the hadronization processes, as well as a way to explore the initial state of the proton-proton interaction. Pixel detectors using single energetic quantum imaging: Past and future / Heijne, Erik H M (IEAP CTU, Prague ; CERN ; Nikhef, Amsterdam)
The early steps with 2-dimensional semiconductor detectors for particle physics experiments are briefly described. A comparison is made between monolithic devices, especially the CCD, and hybrid detectors, which combine a semiconductor sensor matrix with a separate ASIC in advanced CMOS technology. [...]

Performance of the ATLAS Pixel Detector at the Start of LHC Run 3 / Battaglia, Marco (UC, Santa Cruz, Inst. Part. Phys.) /ATLAS Pixel Collaboration
This contribution presents a characterisation of the ATLAS Pixel detector response obtained from the analysis of $pp$ collisions recorded by the ATLAS detector at the LHC during Run 2 and at the start of Run 3. The effects of radiation damage are discussed in detail and compared to predictions from simulation accounting for non-ionising radiation damage effects to the pixel sensors..

Quantum machine learning in the latent space of high energy physics events / Anna Woźniak, Kinga (CERN ; Vienna U.) ; Belis, Vasilis (CERN ; Zurich, ETH) ; Pierini, Maurizio (CERN) ; Vallecorsa, Sofia (CERN) ; Dissertori, Günther (Zurich, ETH) ; Barkoutsos, Panagiotis (IBM, Zurich) ; Tavernelli, Ivano (IBM, Zurich)
We investigate supervised and unsupervised quantum machine learning algorithms in the context of typical data analyses at the LHC. To accommodate the constraints on the problem size, dictated by limitations on the quantum hardware, we concatenate the quantum algorithms to the encoder of a classical convolutional autoencoder, used for dimensionality reduction. Monolithic Stitched Sensor (MOSS) Development for the ALICE ITS3 Upgrade / Hong, Geun Hee (Yonsei U. ; CERN) /ALICE Collaboration
The Monolithic Stitched Sensor (MOSS) chip is the first stitched prototype developed for the upgrade of the Inner Tracking System 3 (ITS3) vertexing detector in the ALICE experiment at the LHC. This upgrade aims at reducing the material budget to 0.05$\%$ X$_{0}$ per layer, achievable with a large bendable single-die sensor by replacing the water-cooling system with air flow and minimizing other external circuit components.
