Measurement of the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}$ effective lifetime in the decay $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ from pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$
/CMS Collaboration
The effective lifetime of the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}$ meson in the decay $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi \, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ is measured using data collected during 2016--2018 with the CMS detector in $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ proton-proton collisions at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $140~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The effective lifetime is determined by performing a two-dimensional unbinned maximum likelihood fit to the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ meson invariant mass and proper decay time distributions.

Inclusive and differential measurement of top quark cross sections in association with a Z boson
/CMS Collaboration
A measurement is presented of the inclusive and differential cross sections for top quark production in association with a Z boson, in pairs ($\mathrm{t\bar{t}Z}$) or with a single top quark ($\mathrm{tZq}$ and $\mathrm{tWZ}$). The data were recorded in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of $13~\mathrm{TeV}$, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$.

Probing entanglement in top quark production with the CMS detector
/CMS Collaboration
Entanglement is an intrinsic property of quantum mechanics and its measurement probes the current understanding of the underlying quantum nature of elementary particles at a fundamental level. A measurement of the extent of entanglement in top quark-antiquark ($\mathrm{t\bar{t}}$) events produced in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV is performed on the data recorded by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC in 2016, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 35.9 $\mathrm{fb^{-1}}$.

Measurement of the Drell-Yan forward-backward asymmetry and of the effective leptonic weak mixing angle using proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV
/CMS Collaboration
The forward-backward asymmetry in Drell--Yan production and the effective leptonic electroweak mixing angle are measured using a sample of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ collected by the CMS experiment and corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $137~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The measurement uses both dimuon and dielectron events, and is performed as a function of the dilepton's mass and rapidity.

Model-independent search for pair production of new bosons decaying into muons in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV
/CMS Collaboration
The results of a model-independent search for the pair production of new bosons within a mass range of $0.21 < \mathrm{m} < 60~\mathrm{GeV}$, are presented. This study utilizes events featuring four muons in the final state and a dataset, comprising $41.5~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ and $59.7~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$, recorded in 2017 and 2018 by the CMS experiment at the CERN LHC.

Search for $CP$ violation in $\mathrm{D}^0\to\mathrm{K}^0_{\mathrm{S}}\mathrm{K}^0_{\mathrm{S}}$ decay from proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV
/CMS Collaboration
A search is reported for $CP$ violation in the $\mathrm{D}^0\to\mathrm{K}^0_{\mathrm{S}}\mathrm{K}^0_{\mathrm{S}}$ decay, using data collected from proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$ recorded by the CMS experiment in 2018.
