Search for flavor-changing neutral current interactions of the top quark and Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV
/CMS Collaboration
A search for flavor-changing neutral current interactions of the top quark (t) and Higgs boson (H) is presented. The search is based on Run 2 proton-proton collisions collected in 2016--2018 at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV with the CMS detector at the CERN LHC and corresponding to $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$.

Combination of measurements of the top quark mass from data collected by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at $\sqrt{s}=7$ and $8~\mathrm{TeV}$
/CMS Collaboration
A combination of fifteen top quark mass measurements performed by the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the LHC is presented. The data sets used correspond to an integrated luminosity of up to 5 and $20~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ of proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7 and $8~\mathrm{TeV}$, respectively.

Measurement of the Higgs boson mass and width using the four leptons final state
/CMS Collaboration
A measurement of the Higgs boson mass and width using the decays to two Z bosons is presented, using the proton-proton data collected by the CMS experiment at the LHC corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $138~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$ at a center-of-mass energy of $13~\mathrm{TeV}$. The on-shell production of the Higgs boson with the decay $\mathrm{H} \to \mathrm{Z} \mathrm{Z}^* \to 4\ell$ is used to constrain its mass and width, which yields to the most precise single measurement of the mass to date $\mathrm{m}_\mathrm{H} = 125.08 \pm 0.12~\mathrm{GeV}$ and an upper limit on the width $\Gamma_\mathrm{H} < 60~\mathrm{MeV}$ at $68\%$ confidence level.

Pseudorapidity distributions of charged hadrons in PbPb collisions at $\sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}} = 5.36$ TeV

The pseudorapidity ($\eta$) distributions of charged hadrons are measured using data collected at a record nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}}=5.36~\mathrm{TeV}$ for collisions of lead-lead (PbPb) ions. The data were recorded by the CMS experiment at the LHC in 2022 and correspond to an integrated luminosity of $0.3\pm0.03~\mu\mathrm{b}^{-1}$.

Constraining beauty quark energy loss and hadronization with $\text{B}^{+}$ and $\text{B}^{0}_{\text{s}}$ nuclear modification factors in PbPb collisions at $5.02\,\text{TeV}$ with CMS
/CMS Collaboration
The CMS Collaboration reports on the production yields of $\text{B}^{0}_{\text{s}}$ and $\text{B}^{+}$ mesons in proton-proton (pp) collisions recorded in 2017 at the CERN LHC with a center-of-mass energy of $5.02\,\text{TeV}$. Utilizing an integrated luminosity of 302.3$\,\text{pb}^{-1}$, the analysis focuses on the exclusive decay channels $\text{B}^{0}_{\text{s}} \to \text{J/}\psi (\mu^{+}\mu^{-})\,\phi (\text{K}^{+} \text{K}^{-})$ and $\text{B}^{+} \to \text{J/}\psi (\mu^{+}\mu^{-})\, \text{K}^{+}$ in a transverse momentum $(p_{\mathrm{T}})$ range of 7-50 $\text{GeV/c}$ and a rapidity interval $|y| < 2.4$.

Extracting the speed of sound in the strongly interacting matter created in relativistic nuclear collisions
/CMS Collaboration
Ultrarelativistic nuclear collisions yield a strongly interacting state of hot and dense quark-gluon matter that exhibits a remarkable collective flow behavior with minimal viscous dissipation. To gain deeper insights into its intrinsic nature, we extracted the speed of sound in this medium utilizing data from $0.607~\mathrm{nb}^{-1}$ of lead-lead collisions at $\sqrt{\smash[b]{s_{_{\mathrm{NN}}}}}=5.02~\mathrm{TeV}$, recorded by the CMS experiment in 2018 at the CERN-LHC.

Elliptic anisotropy measurement of the $\rm{f}_0(980)$ hadron in proton-lead collisions and evidence of its quark-antiquark composition by CMS
/CMS Collaboration
Despite its discovery half a century ago, the question about the quark content of the $\rm{f}_0(980)$ hadron has not been settled, whether its being an ordinary quark-antiquark meson, a tetraquark exotic state, a kaon-antikaon molecule, or a quark-antiquark-gluon hybrid. In this note, evidence that the $\rm{f}_0(980)$ hadron is an ordinary quark-antiquark meson is reported, by employing the number-of-constituent-quark (NCQ) scaling of elliptic flow anisotropies ($v_2$), empirically established by conventional hadrons up to transverse momentum ($p_{\rm {T}}$) of about 10~GeV/$c$ in relativistic heavy ion collisions.
