Measurement of the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}$ effective lifetime in the decay $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ from pp collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13~\mathrm{TeV}$ /CMS Collaboration
The effective lifetime of the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}$ meson in the decay $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi \, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ is measured using data collected during 2016--2018 with the CMS detector in $\sqrt{s}=13~\mathrm{TeV}$ proton-proton collisions at the LHC, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of $140~\mathrm{fb}^{-1}$. The effective lifetime is determined by performing a two-dimensional unbinned maximum likelihood fit to the $\mathrm{B}^0_\mathrm{s}\to\mathrm{J}/\psi\, \mathrm{K}^0_\mathrm{S}$ meson invariant mass and proper decay time distributions. Probing entanglement in top quark production with the CMS detector /CMS Collaboration
Entanglement is an intrinsic property of quantum mechanics and its measurement probes the current understanding of the underlying quantum nature of elementary particles at a fundamental level. Measurement of the Drell-Yan forward-backward asymmetry and of the effective leptonic weak mixing angle using proton-proton collisions at 13 TeV /CMS Collaboration
