Exploring the infrared structure of massless gauge theories / Magnea, Lorenzo (speaker)
The problem of infrared divergences in gauge-theory scattering amplitudes is as old as quantum field theory, and has been `solved’ many times, with increasing degrees of sophistication. Perhaps surprisingly, it is still at the forefront of current research, both in view of new theoretical developments, and for phenomenological applications. [...]

AdS three-body problem at large spin / Kravchuk, Petr (speaker)
Motivated by the problem of understanding multi-twist operators in general CFTs, I will discuss the interacting spectrum of large-spin three-particle states in AdS. In particular, I will explain how thanks to the AdS curvature this particular limit of the three-body problem is tractable. [...]

Probing pQCD calculations with charm-hadron production measurements with the ALICE experiment at the LHC / Faggin, Mattia (speaker) (CERN)
Measurements of heavy-flavour (i.e. charm and beauty) hadron production in ultra-relativistic proton-proton (pp) collisions provide fundamental tests of perturbative quantum chromodynamics (pQCD) calculations [...]

Evolving your APIs, a pragmatic approach / Frankel, Nicolas (speaker) (API7.ai)
When you publish your first HTTP API, you’re more focused on short-term issues than planning for the future. However, chances are you’ll be successful, and you’ll “hit the wall”. [...]

Jetography via the Quark-Gluon Plasma / Apolinario, Liliana (speaker) (LIP (PT))
Ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions allow to re-create conditions akin to the early Universe, where the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP), a hot and dense QCD medium, was prevalent. Due to the extremely short lived QGP that is created in such collisions, only through indirect probing methods are we able to ascertain its intrinsic characteristics [...]

Fuzzy Sphere regularization of 3D CFTs / He, Yin-Chen (speaker)
Conformal Field Theory (CFT) represents a class of quantum field theories that have profound applications across various physics domains, from critical phenomena in statistical mechanics to quantum matter, quantum gravity, and string theory. In this talk, I will introduce our recently proposed 'fuzzy (non-commutative) sphere regularization' scheme, a method that addresses and offers a solution to the longstanding need for a non-perturbative approach to 3D CFTs. Heavy scalars aim for the top in the ATLAS experiment / Behr, Janna Katharina (speaker) (Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DE))
New massive scalar or pseudo-scalar states with strong couplings to the top quark are predicted in numerous extensions of the Standard Model. These include models with an extended Higgs sector, such as Two-Higgs-Doublet Models (2HDMs) [...]

A Two-Way Communication Between High-Energy Physics and Quantum Technologies / Rico Ortega, Enrique (speaker)
This talk explores the exciting synergy between high-energy physics (HEP) and quantum technologies. We present results from our interdisciplinary collaboration, showcasing how quantum tools are revolutionizing our understanding of fundamental forces and vice versa. Simulating the Strong Force: We demonstrate how tensor network algorithms, a powerful technique from quantum information, offer a novel approach to tackle real-time problems in lattice gauge theories (LGT), which are the cornerstone for studying the strong force (QCD) [...]

Computing technology innovation for the Next Generation Trigger and particle theory / Carrazza, Stefano (speaker) (CERN)
In this talk we motivate and present an overview of novel unconventional computing technologies such as digital and analog quantum platformsin the context of the Next Generation HEP Trigger Proposal (NGT) and particle theoryresearch activities. After a brief introduction of quantum technologies and therespective R&Dactivitiesfor the NGT, we illustrate the major tasks and challenges for the implementation and performance benchmark ofefficient classical simulation algorithmsfor quantum qubit systems on hardware accelerators (multi-GPU,and FPGAs) andtheoretical foundations for quantum machine learningmodels inspired by the NGT applications. Finally, we conclude by summarizing the potential synergieswith other research activities associated tothe NGT and carried out in the TH Department..
