Restarting the LHC after the YETS 2017/18 initially included the revalidation of Sector 12 after its intended warm up and the repetition of powering and machine checkout tests as a function of the modifications applied to the relevant systems. This contribution will recall the main activities, the implied risks and resulting revalidation needs as well as the resulting planning to allow for an efficient restart of the LHC with beam in 2018 for its last year of physics operation in Run 2.
